For a long time I thought I was a poet, but that's a high title to claim.
That's part of the reason I called the album 'Shoot From The Hip.' I did feel it was time to open up more.
Redeem thy misspent time that's past, And live this day as if thy last.
An excessive amount of my time is taken with political involvement. It's unavoidable; that's my temperament.
I think that's what really a substantial work is, it's forever. It's the truth now and it was the truth then, and it will be the truth tomorrow.
I'm just writing about people. People are dark and complicated. I'm trying to tell the truth; that's all that I do.
I have to live in the truth that this is who I am. That's what I need to focus on.
I've always told the truth. I think that's been part of the foundation of my career. I don't put myself above people. I don't put myself different than people. And I, for one, know that none of us is immune.
In order to dream, you need to have a springboard which is the facts... It gives it that touch of reality, and I think that's quite important... truth with fiction.
Big George: That's terrible. Sally: It's horrible. Big George: Terrible is what it is.
Brian Taylor: That's what happens when you fuck with the police!
Bill: And when it stopped being random, that's when it started to go wrong.
[ordering drinks] Lambeau: Perrier. Sean: That's French for "club soda."
Ma Bailey: [kisses George] That's for nothing.
Military Attache: That's a rumor, Schanberg, and I'm not gonna comment on a rumor.
Verna: That's you all over, Tom. A lie and no heart.
Max Rockatansky: Max. My name is Max. That's my name.
"Managerial" Victim #1: That's a dead dog. Anton Chigurh: Yes it is.
Bunny: What are they doing over there? They're gettin' high, that's what.
Bob Morton: Hey, he's old, we're young, and that's life.
Linguini: [Remy is controlling his movements by pulling his hair] That's strangely involuntareeee!
