Teaching was my first job after leaving university. It was a challenge, but I enjoyed it. Some of the kids were disruptive, but I could deal with it because I was only 24 at the time, and my own school memories were still fresh.
We spend so much time together, because that's how we like it. I never used to go on girl's nights out, even at school. And Paul has never liked going out for a night with the boys, either.
I had a normal upbringing and went to public school. If I ever, even for a second, started getting a big head, I was brought back to reality pretty quickly. I was working full time and still had to fight for a cell phone.
I started acting when I was seven. And I went to a local drama school which is very well-known in London. Because of that, I started getting jobs, and I worked all the time as a child, pretty much non-stop.
Anytime I met an actor, I just attacked them and said, 'How did you do this?' Eventually, I began to realize that you went to school for it. I wasn't a bright kid, so it took me a long time to figure that out.
That's why I ended up leaving school - because it required so much time, and it was such an excellent idea. I figured I would regret not going full force with this idea. It seemed we could make something of it.
When I was a freshman, I didn't have that much time for extra-curriculars, so I didn't do any theater stuff. Actually, I didn't do it with my school. I did theater with this thing called Teen Source.
I'm from the 'less is more' school. I had to be in the 'more is more' zone with 'Dallas Buyers Club', so I was out of my comfort zone, but I had to trust that.
I think we've all been misled, at moments in our lives, certainly in school situations, and things like that, with getting with the wrong group briefly, or falling in with someone who we learn the truth about and no longer want to really be with.

Andrew Largeman: They sent me away to boarding school. Sent me away makes it sound like they sent me to an asylum. There were no straps involved.
[last lines] Michael Berg: I was fifteen. I was coming home from school. I was feeling ill. And a woman helped me.
[last lines] Chihiro's Father: A new home and a new school? It is a bit scary. Chihiro: I think I can handle it.
Lt. Col. Frank Slade: [at Charlie's disciplinary hearing] This is such a croc of shit! Mr. Trask: Mr. Slade, you are in the Baird School. Not a barracks.
School Bully: I'll tell you how to get four people into a mini. Two in the back, two in the front and your Dad in the ashtray!
Wolverine: Got any beer? Bobby: This is a school. Wolverine: So that's a "no"? Bobby: Yeah, that's a "no." Wolverine: Got anything other than chocolate milk?
