The whole thing with animated movies is that it's very hard to get out of your head because it's very moving through each line systematically.
Mostly in movies an actor has to come to a mark, an X, and deliver his line - but that's so artificial, that's not how people really behave.

Matt: [Last line in the film after Matt has killed Richard] "I don't know."
[last lines] Waiter: Are you on your own, sir? Virgil Oldman: No, I'm waiting for someone.
[last lines] Celine: Baby, you are gonna miss that plane. Jesse: I know.
You have film actors doing TV, rap stars doing TV, with everyone kind of crossing the line.
The expected vertical line of Ikiru's narrative breaks when Kurosawa does a flash-forward in the middle of the film.
