Ryne Dee Sandberg is an American professional baseball player, coach, and manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a second baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs for sixteen years (1981–1994 and 1996–97). He became "interim manager" of the Philadelphia Phillies in August 2013. He was officially named manager of the Philadelphia Phillies on September 22, 2013, making him the only Hall of Fame player managing in the league.
