About Matt Harvey:
Matthew Edward Harvey is considered one of the most dominant young pitchers in the major leagues. The Mets drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft. In his major league debut on July 26, 2012 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Harvey set a new club record with 11 strikeouts while earning his first career victory. Ever since Harvey was called up from the minor leagues in 2012, he has become a fan favorite. Every time Harvey pitches, Mets fans refer to it as "Harvey Day".
