Physics knows what it is doing, it applies to everyday life, emotion, feeling, desire, and every thought in our tiny little minds, as much as it does to thermodynamics, gravity, nuclear force, and space & time. Don't try too hard looking for answers, you don't need to understand the wavelengths of light and refraction to awe at the beauty of a rainbow.
