Gabby Bess is an American writer, poet and editor born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1992. Bess grew up in Florida, Virginia, Hawaii, and Maryland, and currently lives in New York City. Bess founded the magazine Illuminati Girl Gang, a magazine featuring only female voices, and has been described as having a feminist aesthetic. Her writing has appeared or been discussed by Rhizome, The Nation, and The Millions.
