About Birch Bayh:
Birch Evans Bayh, Jr. is a former United States Senator from Indiana who served from 1963 to 1981. He is the only non-Founding Father to author two amendments to the United States Constitution and was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president in 1976. He is the father of former Indiana Governor and former U.S. Senator Evan Bayh and Christopher Bayh, a lawyer in Indianapolis, Indiana.
