About Andrea Portes:
Andrea Portes is a bestselling American novelist. Her novels include: Hick, Bury This and Anatomy of a Misfit. Portes was born in rural Nebraska, but spent her early years traveling from place to place, living in Illinois, Texas, North Dakota, North Carolina, and even Brazil. Portes went to Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Portes then attended Bryn Mawr College on a scholarship. She is a graduate of the Class of 1993. She then received her MFA from University of California, San Diego. After graduation, Portes moved to the neighborhood of Echo Park in Los Angeles.
